Metric Epdm O Rings

EPDM is a terpolymer of ethylene, propylene and non-conjugated dienes. The main characteristics of EPDM are its excellent resistance to oxidation, ozone and corrosion. Since EPDM belongs to the polyolefin (PO) family, it has excellent vulcanization characteristics. Among all rubbers, EPDM has the lowest specific gravity and can absorb a large amount of fillers and oils without much effect on its properties, so it can be made into low-cost rubber compounds.

Compared with other commonly used general-purpose rubbers or special rubbers, the main performance advantages of EPDM are as follows:

(1) High cost performance, the raw rubber density is only 0.86~0.90g/cm3, which is the lightest common rubber with raw rubber density; and it can be filled in large quantities to reduce the cost of rubber.

(2) Excellent aging resistance, weather resistance, ozone resistance, sunlight resistance, heat resistance, water resistance, water vapor resistance, UV resistance, radiation resistance and other aging properties. When used with other unsaturated diene rubbers such as NR, SBR, BR, NBR, and CR, EPDM can act as a polymer antioxidant or anti-aging agent.

(3) Excellent chemical resistance, acid, alkali, detergent, animal and vegetable oils, alcohol, ketone, etc.; outstanding water resistance, superheated water resistance, water vapor resistance; polar oil resistance.

(4) Excellent insulation performance, volume resistivity 1016Q·cm, breakdown voltage 30~40MV/m, dielectric constant (1kHz, 20℃) 2.27.
(5) Wide applicable temperature range, minimum operating temperature -40~-60℃, can be used for a long time at 130℃.
